The light weight, only 360 grams, and the particular angling
of 37,5° of the barcode scanner, allow operators to use the
terminal many hours without any difficulty.
The BHT-400 is provided with a keyboard achievable with only
one hand, even for left-handed people. Trigger keys for
barcode readings are, in fact, on the left, in the centre, and
on the right of the keyboard; keyboard is very similar to the
classical mobile phones keypad, thus speeding up data
insertion.
CCD reader, with laser pointer, guarantees precision in the
reading and extreme strength; the scanner, in fact, doesn't
have moving parts inside. Good scan confirmation is given by a
vibrating signal; this option is very useful in noisy
environment.
Wireless Communication Standard 802.11b allows to send and
receive data, in real time and in complete security; the
BHT-400 supports, in fact, the more modern security and
authentication keys.
Transmitting data with the BHT-400 is simple and flexible.
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB, RS232 and Infrared are the available
interfaces to transmit data by radio or by means of a cradle.
Operating system Microsoft Windows CE.Net 5.0, equipped with
dedicated applications and drivers (SDK), allows programmers
to create software on a standard and open platform, in a
simple, fast and cheap way. Processor PXA270, 520 MHz,
guarantees high speed in data management.
Protection grade IP54 protects electronics from external
agents and tolerates repeated drops without any damage. It is
available, on request, a special waistcoat, that provides a
comfortable support to work "hands free".
